Welcome to the UCLA Delta Gamma website! My name is Rylan Herring, and I have the distinct privilege of serving as the 2026 Chapter President. I am a third-year Public Affairs major from Northern California, and Delta Gamma has truly been the most meaningful part of my college experience. From the moment I joined, I was struck by the authenticity, warmth, and genuine connection that define this sisterhood. At a large university like UCLA, finding a place where you feel seen, supported, and at home is incredibly special—and that is exactly what Delta Gamma provides. Each member brings something unique, and together, we create a community where individuality is celebrated and everyone is encouraged to grow into the best version of themselves.
What makes Delta Gamma so meaningful is the way we show up for one another. Whether it’s celebrating accomplishments, navigating challenges, or simply sharing everyday moments, there is always a strong and unwavering support system behind you. No matter your passions or goals, you are surrounded by women who genuinely want to see you succeed.
Our chapter is guided by Delta Gamma’s mission of “Doing Good.” We live this out through our involvement on campus, our service throughout Los Angeles, and our philanthropic efforts supporting Service for Sight. Our partnership with the Blind Children’s Center allows us to make a tangible impact in our community, and our annual Anchor Splash event brings people together to support a cause that is deeply important to us. These experiences not only strengthen our chapter but also remind us of the purpose and values that unite us.
Beyond our philanthropy, it’s the everyday moments that make this sisterhood so special—sharing meals before class, spending time together in our home, and creating memories that will last far beyond our time at UCLA. Delta Gamma is more than just an organization; it is a place where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and lifelong connections begin.
Serving as president of the Alpha Sigma chapter is an extraordinary honor. It has given me the opportunity to grow not only as a leader, but as an individual. Through this role, I have come to understand the true meaning of friendship, selflessness, and empathy. The love and kindness within this sisterhood have shaped me in ways I will carry with me long after my time at UCLA. When I look at this chapter, I see a home filled with strength, support, and endless potential. I am incredibly proud to call myself a Delta Gamma, and I am so excited for all that this year holds.
